Pakistan (AFP) successfully organized a two-day Free Eye Screening and General
Medical Camp at Baltistan University, Skardu, providing essential healthcare
services to students, faculty members, and university staff.
The camp was staffed by a dedicated team of volunteer
doctors, eye specialists, healthcare professionals, and trained paramedics from
Akhundian Foundation Pakistan. During the two-day event, approximately 600
students and faculty members received free medical checkups, eye
screenings, and professional health consultations.
The initiative aimed to promote preventive healthcare, raise
awareness about eye health, and ensure access to quality medical services for
the university community. Participants were examined by specialists and
received expert advice regarding their health concerns at no cost.
The Vice Chancellor of Baltistan University visited
the camp and appreciated the efforts of the Akhundian Foundation Pakistan. He
thanked the organization, its volunteer doctors, and healthcare staff for
conducting a valuable and impactful healthcare initiative for the university's students and faculty.
The camp was led by Nisar Hussain Subhani, Head of
Akhundian Foundation Pakistan, who supervised the planning and implementation
of the program. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Subhani reaffirmed the
Foundation’s commitment to improving healthcare access and serving underserved
communities across Gilgit-Baltistan through medical camps, awareness programs,
and other community welfare initiatives.
