Akhundian Foundation Pakistan, in collaboration with Rescue 1122 Kharmang, organized a successful training seminar on fire prevention, basic first aid, and emergency response in Kharmang. The event aimed to raise public awareness and provide practical training to help reduce fire-related incidents in Baltistan. Experts highlighted the importance of timely awareness and safety measures. Engineer Arif discussed the causes of domestic fires, particularly electrical issues, while Rescue 1122 conducted hands-on training on emergency response and first aid. The seminar was attended by community members, including elders, scholars, women, and youth, who appreciated the initiative and pledged to promote safety awareness. The organizers thanked all participants and reaffirmed their commitment to continuing these community-focused programs.

Akhundian Foundation Pakistan, in collaboration with Rescue 1122 Kharmang, successfully organized a comprehensive training seminar on fire prevention, basic first aid, and emergency response at Imambargah Hussainia Shadook Madhupur, District Kharmang.

Speakers at the event emphasized that timely awareness and practical training are essential to minimizing losses caused by fire incidents, particularly in remote and vulnerable regions like Baltistan.

The seminar aimed to raise public awareness, promote preventive safety measures, and equip the local community with practical skills to address the increasing number of fires across Kharmang and surrounding areas.

The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Nisar Hussain, followed by a welcome address by renowned religious and social leader Allama Nisar Hussain Subhani, who highlighted the urgent need for awareness, precautionary measures, and community-level preparedness to safeguard lives and property.

Engineer Arif delivered an insightful presentation on the growing risks of electrical short circuits and domestic fires. He outlined key contributing factors including faulty electrical systems, unsafe wiring, overloading, substandard appliances, and common household negligence. He also guided participants on adopting safe electrical practices and preventive measures.

The technical training segment was conducted by Rescue 1122’s trained Shift In-Charge, Sanaullah, and his professional team, who provided hands-on demonstrations on basic first aid, causes of fire, initial fire control, emergency response, and safe evacuation procedures. The session also focused on effective community response mechanisms during emergencies, which participants highly appreciated.

The seminar witnessed strong participation from local elders, religious scholars, women, youth, volunteers, social workers, and members of the general public. Attendees expressed their gratitude to the organizers and reaffirmed their commitment to promoting safety awareness within their communities.
