The Honorable Minister for Education, Gilgit-Baltistan, Ghulam Shahzad Agha, along with senior education officials, visited the head office of Akhundian Foundation Pakistan. Co-Founder Nisar Hussain Subhani briefed them on the foundation’s ongoing projects, including the Government School Support Program, which provides teachers and resources to government schools in remote areas of Kharmang District. The minister praised the foundation’s efforts to enhance the quality of education in Baltistan. Elders and volunteers of the foundation also attended the meeting.

The Honorable Ghulam Shahzad Agha, Minister of Education for Gilgit-Baltistan, along with the Director of Education for the Baltistan Region and the Deputy Director of Education for Kharmang District, visited the headquarters of the Akhundian Foundation Pakistan today.

During the visit, Mr. Nisar Hussain Subhani, Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the Akhundian Foundation Pakistan, briefed the distinguished guests about the foundation’s ongoing initiatives, especially in the education sector. He highlighted the Government School Support Program, launched by the foundation immediately after the COVID-19 pandemic to improve the quality of education in remote and mountainous areas of Baltistan.

Through this program, the Akhundian Foundation Pakistan currently supports 15 teachers in various government schools across Kharmang District, providing essential educational assistance and resources to enhance learning opportunities for children in hard-to-reach communities.

Honorable Minister Ghulam Shahzad Agha appreciated the foundation’s dedicated efforts and recognized its valuable contribution toward improving education standards in the region.

Elders and volunteers of the Akhundian Foundation Pakistan were also present and expressed their gratitude to the honorable minister and education officials for their support and encouragement.
