Akhundian Foundation Pakistan (AFP) met with the Commissioner of Baltistan to discuss ongoing flood relief and community welfare initiatives. AFP briefed the Commissioner on food distribution, medical camps, and projects, including LHV training, teacher induction, fire extinguisher installation, drug discount coupons, and water filtration plants. The Commissioner praised AFP’s efforts, agreed to join a joint visit to Gultari for a free medical camp and Khuli Khachri, and encouraged expanding relief activities to Diamer and Ghizer to promote religious harmony.
Akhundian Foundation Pakistan Holds Fruitful Meeting with Commissioner Baltistan
A productive meeting was held between the team of Akhundian Foundation Pakistan (AFP) and the Commissioner of Baltistan, focusing on ongoing relief and welfare initiatives across the region.
During the meeting, the AFP team briefed the Commissioner on the recent flood relief operations, which included food distribution and free medical camps for flood-affected communities in Kharmang, Ghanche, Skardu, and Shigar.
The team also shared updates on various ongoing initiatives, including:

The Commissioner highly appreciated AFP’s efforts and recognized the organization’s continued commitment to improving health, education, and safety for the people of Baltistan.
In a landmark decision, it was unanimously agreed that a joint visit to Gultari will be organized, featuring a free medical camp and Khuli Khachri (public grievance session), with the Commissioner personally accompanying the AFP team.
The Commissioner further commended the Foundation’s tireless efforts in promoting mass welfare and community service and encouraged AFP to expand its activities and relief operations to the Diamer and Ghizer districts to foster religious harmony and regional development.
